Back into the future where Rose tells Elena about what is coming. Though Damon says it was just a story, Elena was still in the panic mood knowing that the oldest vampire in history is coming after her. To know more about doppelgängers and the Petrova curse, Elena visits Katherine who willingly tells her everything in exchange for blood. We also witness when Katherine kill herself when she become vampire but honestly speaking guys, she didn’t succeeded. In the end, we can say Katherine is the wisest vampire ever existed because she only thinks for herself and nothing less. Meanwhile, at the end of the episode it is revealed that Luca’s father is working for Elijah.

On the next episode of The Vampire Diaries entitled “The Sacrifice”, Jeremy makes a dangerous mistake. On the other hand, Elena decides to take matters into her own hands and offers a tempting incentive to Rose for her help. When things take an unexpected turn, however, Rose calls on Damon to deal with the plan Elena has set in motion. Jeremy’s reckless attempt to help Bonnie retrieve the moonstone lands him in a life-threatening position and forces Stefan to put himself in danger.
